Stacy Tusa: Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner
Anastasia “Stacy” Tusa is an adult psychiatric nurse practitioner, treating ages 13 and above. She received her BSN from the Johns Hopkins University School of Nursing in 2009 and subsequently worked at Johns Hopkins Hospital as an RN in psychiatry while completing the Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner program at the University of Maryland School of Nursing. She has practiced as a psychiatric nurse practitioner since 2012, working in community mental health, private practice and inpatient psychiatric settings. She received a post-master’s certificate in Adult-Gerontology Primary Care from Catholic University in 2015. Stacy’s practice is grounded in research and she strives to stay current on the latest developments in psychiatry and neuroscience. She strongly believes that the best results are achieved when medication management is combined with therapy. As a nurse practitioner, she is comfortable with an interdisciplinary approach, and will work closely with an individual’s therapist and medical provider to find safe, effective treatments for distressing symptoms. Her clinical interests include integrative medicine and substance use disorders.
